BRING: deck shoes, sun-screen, soda pop and a camera. Walleyes bite early. It can be cool on the water, so dress for it... A rain jacket and a change of socks is a good idea for sudden rain squalls.
LICENSES: Ohioare available online at www.ohiodnr.com or in selected area bait shops. Call 517-339-9107 and I will let you know the most convenient place to get an Ohio license. Remember you want the one-day Charter Boat License. Michigan licenses are also available online at www.mdnr-elicense.com or any Michigan retailer selling fishing equipment or bait.
ABOARD TRUE LIES: We furnish iced coolers to keep your catch fresh, bottled water to drink and all fishing lures and tackle. The boat has an enclosed head.
AT THE MARINA:, As well as pop and beer, they also have ice, sandwiches and sundries. Call the Grab-n-Go at the Marina 734-243-3819.
PAYMENT: A $100 deposit is required before a reservations is confirmed. Deposit must be received within 7 days of booking to reserve your date. Trips shall be paid in full before the boat leaves the dock.
FISH CLEANING: The marina furnishes a fish cleaning station (you bring the knife) with cutting boards, running water and outlets for your electric knife. There are also nearby shops that will clean your fish while you relax at a nearby bistro. We will have up-to-date information on that when you book a trip.
LARGE GROUP: If you have a large group or I am booked for your day, I can help you find a boat and a friendly able captain to fish with.
CANCELLATIONS: Must be made at least 14 days in advance of reservation date or all deposits will be forfeited. Cancellations of Charter due to weather conditions or any other reasons are at the Captain's discretion. In such an event, another suitable date will be provided. If not possible, a refund of deposit will be made.
YOUR SAFETY: The Captains Main Concern Is For Your Safety, therefore, cancellation of a Charter due to weather conditions, or any other reason, is at the Captains Discretion.
YOUR HEALTH: Dramamine or a anti-Sea sickness patch if you are subject to motion sickness. Sea sickness is nothing to be embarrassed about, but can spoil your trip, and the trip of others aboard. Please take precautions if you are not sure, just to be safe.
We will furnish Sea Bands if you feel uncomfortable with the waves. Worn in pairs, Sea Bands, according to extensive tests, work as well as most self prescribed medicine and do not make you a sleepy head.
